These anti-gun stormtroopers will just not cease with their assault on the Second Amendment, the NRA and gun owners.
Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Ct.) blasted an upcoming NASCAR race sponsored by the National Rifle Association as “inappropriate in the immediate wake of the Newtown massacre” in a letter to Rupert Murdoch sent Thursday urging the media mogul to cancel coverage of the event.
The race is scheduled almost exactly four months after Newtown. Not quite the immediate wake now, is it?
“The horror that unfolded on December 14th at Sandy Hook Elementary School has sparked a national conversation about the adequacy of our gun laws,” Murphy wrote to Murdoch. “Considering your support of sane gun control measures and the extreme nature of the NRA, I urge you to not broadcast this race on April 13th. Inserting Fox Sports in this debate at this critical time will give credence to an extreme organization that is opposed to reasonable policies to stem gun violence.”
This is how these thugs operate. He labels it as “sane” gun control with the obvious implication being if you do not march in lockstep with them then clearly you’re insane. They think people don’t pick up on this.
In the letter, Murphy argues that broadcast of the event would “essentially endorse the NRA’s extreme position” on gun control laws.
Again, if you do not agree with the left, you’re an extremist. Hopefully Murdoch tells this tool to pound sand.
“You should play a constructive role in our national dialogue by refraining from broadcasting the NRA 500,” Murphy writes.
Is there really a so-called national dialogue going on here? Sure doesn’t seem like it. Instead there’s a one-sided onslaught against law-abiding gun owners. Doesn’t appear to be much dialogue other than “shut up” and do what we say.
“By airing this race you will be strengthening the brand of a radical organization that is currently standing in the way of meaningful progress on this issue.”
Again with the name-calling. So much for that dialogue. Clearly thus punk Murphy has no idea or concern how businesses operate. Is he really so stupid as to think NASCAR and Fox are just going to cancel a long-planned event just so he can have his way? Why not just step right u and call for the abolition of the NRA. You know that’s what they want.
