Fresh off his box office bomb that romanticizes terrorists, far-left Robert Redford will now be bringing us a series on the so-called “visionary” mayor of Chicago, who’s doing heroic work or something.
Ironically the CNN series will be called Chicagoland. Matt Drudge should sue them for copyright infringement. No word if this ego-builder for Rahm Emanuel will be filed under fiction. Meanwhile, in the real Chicagoland, nine more people were shot Wednesday. We wonder if Redford will mention the out-of-control murder rate?
A 47-year-old man was shot dead on Green Street on the Far South Side and nine others were wounded across the city Wednesday night.
The man, whose identity has not yet been released, was killed about 8:30 p.m., apparently while he rode his bicycle.
His family mourned quietly at the scene, in the 10200 block of South Green Street in the Washington Heights neighborhood.
A forensic investigator wheeled the man’s bike to a nearby van, along with other evidence from the scene.
Two men, 31 and 20, were shot in the 7000 block of South Talman Avenue in the Marquette Park about 6:05 p.m. The 31-year-old man was shot in the forearm, police said. He was taken to Holy Cross Hospital, about three blocks from where he was shot, and then to Mount Sinai Hospital. The other man was dropped at Advocate Christ Medical Center by a friend, police said.
Just minutes earlier, two men were shot in the 7200 block of South Artesian Avenue in the same neighborhood. A 19-year-old and a 22-year-old were wounded in that attack. The pair was playing basketball when someone opened fire from a passing car, police said.
Just imagine the nightly carnage if they had midnight basketball. To no surprise, Emanuel’s approval rating among blacks has plummeted in the past year. Hard to imagine why.
