Clueless Obama: Only Canada Will Profit From Keystone XL

Posted by on Mar 14, 2013 at 10:33 am

The clown who pretends he wants good high-paying jobs will do everything in his power to prevent the actual creation of them. Obviously, he’s beholden to the far-left extremists in his party and hasn’t got the stones to approve a project that could help us become independent of foreign oil.

What other explanation could there be for Keystone to not be online already?

President Obama told a group of House Republicans at a closed-door meeting on Wednesday that the long-delayed Keystone XL pipeline won’t profit anyone but Canada.

Rep. Lee Terry, R-Neb., told the Associated Press that Obama said the benefits of the project have been overstated because many of the jobs created would be temporary, and much of the oil produced from the pipeline would be exported.

“He said there were no permanent jobs, and that the oil will be put on ships and exported and that the only ones who are going to get wealthy are the Canadians,” Terry said.

How he knows a project he refuses to OK won’t create jobs escapes us. But let’s face it, the more he can prolong economic misery the more he can demonize Republicans.

Let’s assume he his correct. The jobs are few and fleeting, and the profits will be earned primarily by Canada. How does he compare that to another project with federal oversight to some degree, say the Production Tax Credit recently extended to wind energy?

Fleeting jobs (people were laid off as a result of the ‘threat’ of losing the PTC), employment spikes primarily tied to site construction with low and fluctuating domestic manufacturing employment, and profits going disproportionately to European and Asian manufacturers.

So, both have similar traits. One requires federal approvals (regulatory) AND federal subsides to even achieve stability. The other simply needs federal approval. Clearly there is more to his view than what is simply stated.

So the same asshole who cannot or will not tell us the truth about WH tours now knows for certain that the eeeeeeevvvvil Canadians are out to rape us? Did he tell the godless gaia-hating Canucks that?
Who just so happen to be our largest trading partner AND our greatest supplier of oil?

obama: Canadians are out to lay pipe on us and screw us; you should be thanking me.

    1. If the pipeline passes through the US, the petroleum gets refined here, and we ship some of it overseas, then the US will reap considerable profit and some long-lived jobs will be created.
    2. What’s wrong with the people of Canada earning profits?

Keystone would give us some independence from those we are importing from. It would be nice to actually keep dollars here in America instead of sending them off to the Saudis.

Technically the oil from Keystone XL would be ‘foreign’ oil…….it just wouldn’t be from a foreign nation that’s run by 7th century religous fanatics or a country who’s current government is building an altar where their dearly departed bloated socialist leader (who lined his own family’s pockets with petrodollars) can be worshipped by future generations.

I’d say the party that benefits the most from Obama’s dithering is not ‘Big Oil’ or the Canucks, but rather the ChiComs. Like anything else this fucking dolt in the 0val 0ffice has done, I’m just wondering if he’s sabotaging the US stake in Alberta’s oil sands for purely idealogical reasons or simply to spite those red states that didn’t vote for him in ’08 and ’12….
