Chutzpah: Obama Warns EU Over High Youth Unemployment

Jesus H. Christ, the balls on this guy.

President Barack Obama is suggesting Europe may need to adjust its economic policies to tackle high youth unemployment.

Obama said at a news conference in Berlin Wednesday that he has confidence in the eurozone’s policies to resolve the 17-nation bloc’s debt crisis, but also warned that policymakers must not lead to lose sight “of our main goal, which is to make people’s life better.”

Unemployment in the eurozone has shot up to a record 12 percent overall. Youth unemployment in Spain and Greece is above 50 percent.

This from a guy presiding over a 42.6% unemployment among young blacks, according to PBS.

Most disturbing of all may be the fact that African-American unemployment rose back to 13.5 percent from 13.2 percent and, among teenagers not in school, the rate soared from an already astonishing 40.5 percent to a nearly incomprehensible 42.6 percent, which is far higher than it was a year ago at 36.4 percent.

Indeed, it’s even worse than just a month ago.

There is no breakdown for 16-24 year olds, but there is one for 16-19 year old African-Americans, kids who obviously have no college degrees of any kind. Their official unemployment rate is — I’m not making this up — 40.8 percent. By comparison the so-called white rate for 16-19 year-olds is officially 21.8 percent.

Again, adjusting for those who are barely employed or haven’t looked for work in the past week, African-Americans aged 16-19 and not in school undoubtedly have an unemployment rate well in excess of 40 percent.

And yet race trumps results for all the blacks in the U.S. Better to be unemployed than vote ‘R’.

Racism from PBS? PBS making the assumption that there are no genius-level blacks who could have entered and graduated college early? Shame.

Am I the only one who remembers Gary Coleman as “The Kid with the 200 I.Q.”? That was a true story.
