Chaffetz: We were ‘misled every step of the way’ on Benghazi

Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) said Monday that testimony that would be presented at this week’s Oversight Committee hearing on the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya last September would reveal that congress was “misled every step of the way” in the aftermath of the violence that left four Americans dead.

The Utah lawmaker accused former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton of lying in her congressional testimony when she claimed that requests for additional security in Benghazi never reached her desk.

“Despite four and a half months, Secretary Clinton still came to the United States Congress and said that the people on the ground made the decisions about security. That never happened,” Chaffetz told “Fox and Friends.”

Good luck ,Senator Chaffetz ,in getting anyone in this administration not to lie. Moreover, you will be the focus of attacks by our vaunted “fourth estate” for any time you mentioned :budget cuts-so Hillary could not do her job.By the time this plays out in the main stream press, you sir will be culpable for the death of the Americans at Benghazi by your budget cuts ,not president45 and “smart power”.

We were “misled?” Congress was “misled?”

Nope. We were lied to. Congress was lied to. I appreciate the congressman’s tact but it is wasted in this case. The obama administration is guilty of perjury. And treason.
