Buffoonery: David Axelrod Blames Out-of-Control Chicago Murder Rate on People in ‘Surrounding Areas’

Posted by on Feb 04, 2013 at 1:13 pm

Using his “logic” we have to figure the surrounding areas outside Chicago must be stacking up the bodies at a record rate. Clearly Axelrod just can’t admit the obvious: It’s gangbangers running wild in Chicago that’s responsible for the violence, not law-abiding gun owners.

What a mendacious, duplicitous fraud he is.

“We live in Chicago, and one of the reasons we have such a huge problem in this city is that all around us are areas with weak laws and with very lax background checks and a lot of illegal guns flow into this city,” Axelrod told MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough. “Every law enforcement official will tell you that.”

Um, no, it’s doubtful “every” law enforcement official will say something so stupid.

Axelrod looks creepier every time. And so by his logic Obama’s horrible economic record is Canada’s fault.

Well, I know people from Peoria like to drive up to Chicago and take shots at random…

Wait, no, that never happens. Chicago’s problem — as always — is Chicagoans.

“we have such a huge problem in this city is that all around us are areas with weak laws and with very lax background checks and a lot of illegal guns flow into this city”

If the guns are “illegal” under today’s laws, then what would adding more laws accomplish? And if everyone has to follow the same asinine laws as Chicago, then what is the point of “gun free” zones?

As for background checks, California’s list of background checks is backed up like a toilet.
