Blame Bush: Boston bombing suspect cites U.S. wars as motivation, officials say

Well, the left now has their fall guy. Same as the old fall guy. Imagine our suprise.

The 19-year-old suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings has told interrogators that the American wars in Iraq and Afghanistan motivated him and his brother to carry out the attack, according to U.S. officials familiar with the interviews.

From his hospital bed, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has acknowledged his role in planting the explosives near the marathon finish line on April 15, the officials said. The first successful large-scale bombing in the post-Sept. 11, 2001, era, the Boston attack killed three people and wounded more than 250 others.

The officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity to describe an ongoing investigation, said Dzhokhar and his older brother, Tamerlan, who was killed by police as the two attempted to avoid capture, do not appear to have been directed by a foreign terrorist organization.

Uh, no. Bomber #2 ran over Bomber#1. Could we at least get some basic facts straight here?

Rather, the officials said, the evidence so far suggests they were “self-radicalized” through Internet sites and U.S. actions in the Muslim world. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has specifically cited the U.S. war in Iraq, which ended in December 2011 with the removal of the last American forces, and in Afghanistan, where President Obama has made plans to end combat operations by the end of 2014.

Now all the media simpletons can say if we never went into Iraq none of this would have happened. Just watch.

Naturally, this has  nothing to do with Obama.

Obama has made repairing U.S. relations with the Islamic world a foreign policy priority, even as he has expanded drone operations in Pakistan and other countries that have inflamed Muslim public opinion.

Besides, al Qaeda is dead or on the run. They said so at the DNC.

So! If the wars in Irag and Ash-can-istan were the bombers’ motives, then why didn’t they go join the insurgents in Irag and Afganistan to fight the evil imperialists? Oh! I’m sorry! It is a far braver act to blow up an eight-year-old boy. That is why little Dzhokjar is going to heaven and the rest of us non-believers must go to hell!

Hmmmmm. Iraq and Afghanistan. Both of which were voted for by Delaware’s own Joe ‘shotgunner’ Biden.

    But not libya. Or Mali.

Does this mean that our young fiend/friend was a fan boy of Saddam? Or the taliban? Geraldo would like to know.

Right on. There is a world full of places they could’ve gone to fight jihad or whatever. They were pussies. Not real soldiers of any kind whatsoever.
