This guy is know as someone who reads the weather on television. Stick to that, Al, before you embarrass yourself any further.
Co-host Willie Geist: “Three in four Americans today thought our country was better off in the ’80s than it is now. Three in four. … If a presidential election were held today, according to this survey, 58 percent would vote for Ronald Reagan over President Barack Obama.” Weatherman Al Roker: “But the interesting thing is a lot of people probably — I mean Ronald Reagan probably would be seen almost liberally today as opposed to being a conservative.” Co-host Natalie Morales: “Totally.” Roker: “I mean, he did a lot of great things. But, I mean, things have shifted.” Geist: “Relative to what you see now, absolutely.”
Media Research Center Vice President of Research Brent Baker explains our pick: “Trying to turn a conservative hero into some kind of liberal, in order to discredit current conservatives as irrational extremists, may pass for political insight inside NBC’s liberal bubble, but Al Roker should stick to the weather. Geist and Morales should stick to expert comment on Justin Bieber.”
Well, on the upside at least 58% would vote for Reagan instead of the current occupant of the White House.
