Back in March when the White House occupant injected himself into the Trayvon Martin case we wondered why the media ignored the brutal beating of two elderly Oklahoma residents by a young black male. Such routine criminal activity is typically ignored by the media and the racial arsonists out there who relish using isolated incidents to portray white America as a frothing, racist mob.
Well, sadly, the second victim of Tyrone Woodfork has now died.
A World War II veteran attacked in a home invasion died Friday morning.
The paratrooper passed away around 11 am at a Tulsa hospital. The medical examiner will perform an autopsy to determine his cause of death.
The 90-year-old man and his 85-year-old wife were beaten in a home invasion on March 14th, the next day his wife, Nancy, died.
His family believes the pain the suspects inflicted on their parents caused their father to die from a broken heart.
A life shattered after 65 years of marriage.
“He was a strong man, strong heart and he loved mamma. As long as mamma was alive he was going to fight to live. But he lost that will,” said Mr. Strait’s daughter Lanora.
Bob Strait survived parachuting behind enemy lines during the invasion of Normandy in World War II, but he couldn’t survive the loss of his wife.
“His zest of life was gone when mamma died,” said Mr. Strait’s daughter Andra.
The daughters believe their parents would still be alive had robbers not invaded their home.
“When he knew mom had died in the hospital he told us he was ready to go,” said Andra.
Seven weeks later, Mr. Strait died. He passed away quietly Friday morning with Lanora by his side.
“He asked me Wednesday morning when I got here if her grave was decorated and I said, ‘yes daddy we have flowers on it and it’s beautiful.’ He shook his head yes and got this funny look on his face and he looked toward the wall and I could see from that point on it was over” said Lanora.
He was surrounded by pictures of Nancy, letters from grandchildren and his favorite hobbies, wood carvings and model airplanes.
“He knew he was safe he didn’t have to worry anymore,” said Lanora.
However, what keeps his family focused is the fight for justice.
“I am angry, very angry that for seven weeks my father was in a prison within himself and there are still these individuals on the street doing what they want to do. I want them picked up. I want them punished” said Lanora. “They should be punished for what they did to my mom and dad and not be allowed to do this again. No one else should suffer,” said Lanora.
The day after the attack Tyrone Woodfork, 20, was arrested. He has been charged with Mrs. Strait’s murder and Mr. Strait’s attack.
Homicide detectives believe there are at least two other suspects, possibly a total of five.
And not a peep about this from the national media. No protest marches, no calls of consolation from the president, no hate crime investigations from racial coward Eric Holder. Zipm, zero, nada.
Two lives snuffed out and nobody gives a rat’s ass.
