Unstable MSNBC Host in Angry Restaurant Confrontation

I think this buffoon needs a vacation. First there was this incident Thursday night, and now he’s getting into confrontations at restaurants.

MSNBC host Chris Matthews got into a heated exchange with Republican delegates at a Tampa restaurant early Friday morning following the conclusion of the GOP national convention.

Matthews was booed and sworn at as he was leaving the Tinatapas restaurant, which is near the Tampa Bay Times Forum. Matthews turned back and confronted the taunting GOP officials. The Hill witnessed the exchange and interviewed Republican delegates after the confrontation.

Matthews told The Hill in a phone interview that after he left the restaurant, he heard a group of guys “heckling” and “hooting and hollering” at him.

He headed back into the restaurant to mix it up with them. “I wanted to confront them,” Matthews said, describing his exchange with the men as “towel-snapping” among guys.

Matthews said he told the rowdy group, “What’s this, a douchebag convention?”

The Republicans became angry and retorted back.

“I told him that’s next week,” said New York delegate Anthony Nunziato, referring to the Democratic convention in Charlotte, N.C., that will start on Tuesday.

Heh.

Two wrongs don’t make a right, but I believe Chris Matthews just got told.

Chris (Douchebag) Matthews, stung to the quick by a week of being painted as Debbie Schultz after a sex-change, channels his Tip Oneal tough guy persona, venting his frustration over Eastwood’s expert skewering of The Incredible Shrinking President by playing Rham Emanuel ballet-tough guy upon innocent and pure Republican delegates.

    He’s such a jackass.

Watch him insult a republican teenager who is understandably thrilled have met Mitt Romney. Check the last 30 seconds of this clip. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3036697/#48849798

At the end of the video he calls the young man an example of “another underprivileged” American kid. Can you imagine Chrissy sarcastically dismissing a teenager saying the same thing about having met Obama? Of course you can’t.

He should be put out to pasture.

Chris Matthews is a certifiable douchebag himself. So I guess it was a case of psychological projection that eventually propelled him to this kind of confrontation. If you look up the term “metrosexual putz”, you’ll find a picture of Chris Matthews.

BTW, I have a sneaking suspicion that Matthews is really an Obama automaton (Obamaton) and he’s powered by butterfly belches and unicorn farts. I think that accounts for the tingle that was constantly running down his leg when he saw his puppetmaster Obama.

    Just sayin’.

BTW, if this asshat had asked me, “Is this a douchebag convention?” I would have said, “Not yet, but it looks like you’re ready to start one.”

Has anyone done the calculations for how many metric tons of sand has been cycled through Chris Matthew’s sandbox over the last twenty years? There ought to be an environmental law against that kind of waste.

Ordinarily I disaprove of rudeness and heckling, especially when a man (however public or douchey a figure) is just trying to have a meal. But after accusation after accusation of racism, which is (rightly) one of the worst things you can call someone in today’s society, they were more than entitled to confront him.

He’s lucky we live in this age where he was only mocked – in a more civilized time, they would have decked him for his constant slander, and no jury would have convicted them.

Orrin – great comment: “– in a more civilized time, they would have decked him for his constant slander, and no jury would have convicted them.” And I think you are absolutely correct – we allow jerks like Matthews to make outrageous, unfounded and potentially damaging accusations about people, but if one of his targets decided to punch his lights out – assault! That’s civilized? I’m not so sure.

“I told him that’s next week,” said New York delegate Anthony Nunziato, …

I’ll bet that Matthews finally “got it” hours later…

I’ll be very honest….by all rights, him and the rest of the MSNBC crew should not have made it out of the hall under their own power.

“..describing his exchange with the men as “towel-snapping” among guys.”
Maybe in the bathhouses he hangs out in, but not in my environment.

    “What’s this, a douchebag convention?”
Try using the “ douchebag ” term to a woman like Rosie O’Donnell or Whoppi Goldberg or heaven forbid the FLOTUS…..obviously the ultimate insult by a Liberal/Progressive is to combine your hate and insult to a normal woman’s function and attribute it to a person you disagree with.

    Latent sexual identity problems…..tingle, tingle?

I’m quite willing to believe that Chris Matthews has rabid voles in his veins instead of red blood cells but I’m missing what was so unhinged about this. He seems to have gotten the worst of it but frankly, if I were in that restaurant, I would have objected a little bit to the aggressors, depending on what was said. And I probably make you look like Walker Mondale, politically.

For compaarison, how do think like G Gordon Liddy would have handled it………ignored it, called them doucebags, or punched them out in the alley?

  13. Mel Torme on 31/31/12 at 9:21 pm

If I were one of the guys at that restaurant, I would have turned around after driving 1/2 way home to come back and taunt him with:

“Oh yeah, well the douche store called and they’re runnin’ out of you!!!”

Hankmeister HA!! lets not insult both douchebags and putz’ in the same breath
is this a douchebag convention? no, thats next week in charlotte, nc – and like a douchebag, youre both early and in the wrong place.
    LMFAO!!

“how do think like G Gordon Liddy would have handled it………ignored it, called them doucebags, or punched them out in the alley?”

dunno, I don’t think he coulda’ done any of those things from his jail cell. Oh, the new Gordon Liddy – I figure he’d try to convince Chris Mathews to invest in gold, then call him a douchebag while punching him out in the alley.

    “towel-snapping between men”.

Freudian slip, Chris? Penn State style, no doubt.

The MSM is starting to realize that the only people who give a rat’s tiny hiney about what they say – or believe any of it – are their masters in the Democrat party.

It’s over MSM. You’ve got two options – 1: Fold up your tents and give it up. Go find honest work somewhere more honorable, like a used car salesman or divorce PIs.
2: Finish becoming the Statist Propaganda Organ that you long to be and when the civil war finally happens, be dealt with as those folks always have been.

MSNBC is the caricature that leftists see Fox as.

90% of the MSM will be voting for Obama, even Fox is probably 50/50 at best. It’s impossible for them to be neutral, they’re only human.

Matthews in a fight? It would be a bitch slapping contest. What a he man that stud. Pathetic bag of mush.
