U.S. Ambassador to Libya, Three Others Killed; Obama Confirms Date With Letterman

Boy, this whole smart diplomacy thing is really reaping dividends now, isn’t it? Following a day of abject humiliation for the Obama administration, first apologizing, then retracting an apology, now four Americans, including our ambassador, have been murdered in Libya.

Somehow this will be spun into Mitt Romney’s fault before long.

The U.S. Ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens, was killed when suspected Libyan religious extremists stormed the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi late Tuesday night, according to Libyan Deputy Prime Minister Mustafa Abushagour.

Libyan officials spent the night in a manhunt trying to find those responsible for the killing of the American diplomat and three other American employees of the consulate. It was unclear whether the bodies of the Americans had been recovered.

“I condemn the cowardly act of attacking the U.S. consulate and the killing of Mr. Stevens and the other diplomats,” said Mr. Abushagour. “This is an attack on America, Libya and free people everywhere.”

But, but, but there’s an obscure YouTube video that insulted Mohammed, and we just can’t have that!

I’m almost nostalgic for the calm, steady hand of Jimmy Carter right about now.

Meanwhile, as that region of the world explodes, the only democratic leader pleads for a meeting with Obama. But he’s too busy.

It’s quite obvious what’s going on in the Mideast, but does the crumbling Obama administration even realize it?

“If there are simultaneous outrages in both Egypt and Libya on 9/11, it was a deliberate, planned insult to the United States,” says Gingrich.  “No one in the country should be confused about the coordination, the viciousness, and the determination to humiliate the U.S.”

“For the Obama embassy in Cairo to apologize to the fanatics who have stormed the embassy and burned the flag, for the fact that we cherish freedom of speech, is insulting beyond belief,” Gingrich continues.  “And whoever wrote that should be fired tomorrow summarily.  And the Congress should pass resolutions condemning the State Department statements and calling on the president to stand up for America.”

The tragic irony is the president who’s made it a centerpiece of his foreign policy to apologize for America is now apologizing for apologizing. Could he be any more pusillanimous?

Why hasn’t Obamee suspended his campaign to deal with this international crisis? We have been attacked again on 9/11. What is our “commander-in-chief’s” response?

Mewling indecision. Perfect. Expect more consulates and embassies to be attacked in the next several days, while this buffoon apologizes for not having handed the country over to the caliphate fast enough.

Obamee’s “Carter Crash” has already begun. Within weeks Romney will have a double digit lead, and by November he may win by 20 points.

It’s over. In a sense, we should actually thank the Libyans, as they have rid us of this fiddling Nero numbskull.

And now, on Dave Letterman, it’s time for the top ten list!
Tonight we have the top reasons why it sucks to be in the military with JEF as the Commander in Chief!!

What was the timing for the Letterman confirmation? Was it after he rejected Bibi? After the attacks in Libya and Egypt?

Remember four years ago when John McCain backed out of his scheduled Letterman appearance during the banking crisis, and an angry Dave booked Keith Olbermann as his replacement and both attacked the GOP presidential nominee? What are the odds this time if Obama backs out of his visit, a sympathetic Dave will book Keith Olbermann as his replacement and both will attack the GOP presidential nominee?

Remember when the left keep saying that taking out Hussein was a mistake and that we made things worse? What are the chances that they’ll question their dear leader about his private war (Congress need not apply) to topple Kadaffy? The anti-blasphemy position of the US government (for only one religion of course) would also be an interesting topic.

The really confusing thing about Obama is how every egotistical, self-centered thing he does makes his followers look more and more foolish!!! His shortcomings are so obvious and his preoccupation with his image and being the center of attention is so blatant. Everything he has done has failed. What is there to admire???
