‘Today it is evident that Marxist ideology in the way it was conceived no longer corresponds to reality’

Someone ought to let our own president know.

Pope Benedict XVI has said that Marxism has no place in the modern world and urged Cubans to find ‘new models’.

Cuba has remained a communist country for more than 50 years and his comments will no doubt cause irritation, just days before he is due to visit.

He said: ‘Today it is evident that Marxist ideology in the way it was conceived no longer corresponds to reality. In this way we can no longer respond and build a society. new models must be found with patience and in a constructive way.’

It’ll also cause plenty of irritation on the American left, especially those who still pine away for Cuba.

Marxism, Socialism, and it’s clones have pretty much all evolved into a scheme to promote the growth and well being of the Privileged (politicians, unions, bureaucrats, greens and more) who live outside of market forces that would otherwise provide some check and balance to their abuses and fantasies.

The Privileged typically set up a Collector class to collect the life energy from the workerbees. The Collectors are the owners, management and leaders of the private sector whose livelihood is highly sensitive to market forces. Higher taxes on them is just passed on as higher prices to the workerbees for goods and services they provide. But don’t ever tell the workerbees this…

The workerbees are the average private sector worker who spends most of their lives work for and shopping in the private sector. Their well being is also sensitive to market forces — if their good or service becomes outdated or inefficient, it’s replaced by something else.

The Privileged also buy votes from the workerbees by promising a socialist/marxist utopia funded by what is left over after the Privileged have gorged themselves on their own gold plated benefit programs. Never mind it would be more efficient for the workerbees to directly buy these benefits from their own efforts than going thru the Collector and Privileged middlemen. Never mind that these Socialism promises are little more than a fake front to hide the Priveleged Class system.

It’s a great system when it comes to counting votes, not so good when it comes to counting money. However, counting money is only important to those living by marketplace rules — which the Priviledged do not. Most assuredly this multiclass system of the Privileged, Collectors and Workerbees is not Marxism or Socialism…
