The ‘National Conversation’ About Guns in Two Words: Shut Up

When you cannot have an adult conversation that backs up your assertions with facts this is what you’re reduced to.

Just hope your elders — your parents, us grandparents, your uncles, aunts, cousins and their peers — have finally seen the light in the wake of the slaughter of 20 little kids like yourselves and are convinced that guns are the common denominator. For anyone still under the delusion that the problem is mentally challenged people or the lack of God in our lives or the concept of arming more people as a defense against attacks like the one in Newtown, Conn., there are only two words: Shut up.

Only or moral superiors can decide what’s best. Shut up, the rest of you.

There is no way to rationalize how factors other than weapons of mass destruction were responsible for the carnage. If the disturbed assassin did not have his arsenal, the kids would still be alive. If his mother wasn’t clearly mentally deranged enough to arm her house with enough firepower to repel an invading force, those kids would still be alive.

So now Nancy Lanza was mentally deranged? Really? And this is known how, exactly?

I’m thinking this asshole doesn’t know much about “firepower” or “invading force.”
