One  occupier  subdued by another.

A suspect in a stabbing at the Occupy San Francisco encampment is behind bars thanks to the quick thinking of a fellow protester who made a citizen’s arrest Thursday morning.

“Everybody’s accepted as part of the 99 percent, but if you’re here to harm, or steal from or in any other way give disrepute to Occupy, then we will police ourselves,” said Nick Shaw, 32, the protester who apprehended the suspect.

Police said Thursday night they had a suspect in custody in connection with the attack on Brian “Boston” Reid, 28, a longtime Occupy member who had been staying at the protest site in front of the Federal Reserve Bank at 101 Market St.

Sgt. Michael Andraychak said police “had some identification issues to attend to,” but would likely release the suspect’s name today.

Occupy members know the suspect as Chris, and they said he had been hanging around the re-established protest site for about a week, claiming he was the leader. He allegedly stabbed Reid in the chest Sunday after a dispute over stolen items.

Well, since they’re supposedly patrolling themselves, does this mean they’ll be turning in the rapists in their midst instead of pretending rapes haven’t been occurring?
