Video like this would be playing on a endless loop on CNN and MSNBC if there was a Republican in the White House or the governor’s mansion in New York. Sadly ironic is Queens is the home borough of the world’s foremost camera hog Chuckie Schumer, who’s nowhere to be found these days. These people have suffered enormous devastation, are getting little help and are pretty much cut off from the rest of New York City. Oh, and you’ll notice most of them are people of color.

There’s a scene in one of the last episodes of “Band of Brothers” where after the shooting stopped, the German civilians started literally cleaning up–collecting bricks, collecting lumber–while some musicians played a piece of classical music–then packed up their instruments and went back to the work of cleaning up. Since there was no German government (municipal or federal), one has to assume that these people did it on their own…why isn’t the same thing happening here?

Because a lot of these people (liberals and those who voted for Obama) assumed (incorrectly) that the Federal Government would ride to their rescue and immediately fix all of their problems and cut them a big, fat check from the Taxpayers so that they could rebuild. That’s how good the left has succeeded in conditioning people to believe that the Government will always be there to help and bail them out, rather than their needed to take their own initiative to help themselves (even just a little bit).
