A security guard at the Family Research Council headquarters in Washington, D.C., was shot in the arm by a gunman who sources said expressed disagreement with the conservative group’s policy positions.
The guard, who was not identified, was conscious after the shooting and was being treated. The shooting occurred in the Chinatown neighborhood Wednesday morning. The gunman was apprehended and was being questioned by the FBI, sources said. Sources said he is in his twenties and may have been posing as an intern.
The suspect “made statements regarding their policies, and then opened fire with a gun striking a security guard,” a source told Fox News.
Authorities were treating the attack as a case of domestic terrorism.
“The police are investigating this incident,” Family Research Council President Tony Perkins said. ”Our first concern is with our colleague who was shot today. Our concern is for him and his family.”
Well, rest assured if there were any political hay to be made on behalf of Barack Obama in this, Krugman, Friedman, Froma Halfwit and the other “voices of reason” would be all over it.

P.S. I have to wonder about the political affiliations of the mass murderers Holmes (Aurora Theater) and Page (Sikh Temple).
If it was Republican or Tea Party, as ABC and others lied about Holmes, you can bet we’d have heard about it. So I suspect the silence indicates they were ‘Progressives’ or at least ‘Liberals’.

Page was a Neo-Nazi and it showed through his abhorrent participation in skinhead-type musical groups that was clearly on record. SPLC actually had a file on him. The Army certainly didn’t want him at some point and couldn’t wait to discharge him from PsyOps. The attack was probably not against Siiks in specific but against non-whites in general, similar to the Jewish center attacker in LA some years ago.
Holmes is more of a mystery: there were rumors that he was part of Occupy, but unsubstantiated (or airbrushed, if you’re the conspiratorial type). There’s nothing else to go on, as he quite deliberately kept his social media profile very low. I don’t think Holmes had a specific political agenda as we’d recognize it, but something more like what the Columbine shooters had – a burning desire to go out in flames and be famous.
