In listening to the bright people in the entertainment industry enlighten us with their views, I can’t help but think of something that Jack Warner was supposed to have said when films started adding sound instead of being silent films. “Who the hell wants to hear actors talk?”
I’m reminded of the scene in “The Producers” when the two show promoters realize that their play, which they intended to fail, is now a smash hit. One is trying to convince the crazed nazi who wrote the play to kill the actors. The other tries to stop this, crying, ” You can’t do this, the actors aren’t animals! To which the other replied, “Oh yeah? Have you ever eaten with one!?!”
