Mitt Romney will begin receiving intelligence briefings next week, his campaign said on Thursday.
Romney and vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan had not begun receiving intelligence briefings similar to those the president and vice president receives —a courtesy usually extended the opposing party’s nominees once they are formally nominated.
A spokesperson for Romney said on Thursday that they had been in the process of arranging the briefings over the last few weeks and that Romney and Ryan would begin receiving them Monday.
Naturally there’s no mention that Obama normally skips these since he’s so busy fundraising. By next week he’ll be bragging he gets it first.
