Republicans pounce on Obama, CBS News over unaired Libya remarks

“In new 60 Minutes clips released by CBS Obama refuses to call Benghazi attack terrorism when asked directly,” former Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich said on Twitter.

“’60 Minutes’ shld b renamed ’59 Minutes’,” wrote Ari Fleischer, who served as White House press secretary to George W. Bush. “They wait until it’s almost over 2break news that wld hv been significant earlier.”

Republicans have argued that the administration deliberately avoided using the word ‘terrorism’ for several weeks after the attack in order to preserve Obama’s poll lead over Republican nominee Mitt Romney on national security issues.

Romney, however, stopped using the issue to bludgeon Obama after the president pointed out during the second presidential debate that he’d called the attack an “act of terror” during a speech the next day in the Rose Garden.

What really pisses me off is Steve Kroft. He knew what Omama’s response was when Omama was later on puking out lies and trying to fool America on Libya. Why didn’t he speak up?

This tells me one of two things. Either Kroft gets his marching orders from higher up and was TOLD to keep his mouth shut until give the go ahead. Or, Kroft just didn’t give a shit about the truth and conveniently let the lie go forth knowing the American people were being scammed by Berry Omama again. Either way Kroft is a douchebag and should be drummed out of journalism.
