Report: U.S. Embassy in Libya Asked for Extra Security, Request Denied

Hillary Rodham Clinton

The mushrooming Obama Libya scandal just got a lot worse for the failed president and his equally incompetent Secretary of State.

“Based on information provided to the Committee by individuals with direct knowledge of events in Libya, the attack that claimed the ambassador’s life was the latest in a long line of attacks on Western diplomats and officials in Libya in the months leading up to September 11, 2012,” House Oversight and Government Reform Committee chairman Darrell Issa, R-Calif., and subcommittee chairman Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, wrote Clinton today. They dismissed out-of-hand the suggestion that the attack ever could have been regarded as a spontaneous protest gone awry.

“In addition, multiple U.S. federal government officials have confirmed to the Committee that, prior to the September 11 attack, the U.S. mission in Libya made repeated requests for increased security in Benghazi,” Issa and Chaffetz added (my emphasis). “The mission in Libya, however, was denied these resources by officials in Washington.”

Of course now we’ll enter the phase where Democrats squeal about this being politicized, as if they wouldn’t do the same, aided by a media that was actually interested in getting to the bottom of this fiasco. Their problem is Americans want answers, politics be damned. If this hurts Obama’s re-election chances, well, too damn bad.

Update: It keeps getting worse.

Again, no surprise. This administration is so naive about the middle east. In fact they probably denied the extra security because it might cause an embarassment, after all we cheered them all on when they took over Libya. Expect more to happen.

In case someone tries to sell you “SMART POWER” this is what it looks like. Don’t buy it.

I knew that Hillary would be terrible in the SS job when she gave the Russians the “OVERCHARGE” button thinking it said “RESET”. IF you can’t get something that simple done correctly, you are not going to get anything correct.

I hope people stay angry about this and it influences the election in favor of Republicans. You won’t hear any Democrats trying to get to the truth. They could care less about the lives of Americans lost to terrorism.

Please, I beg you, Please put up a warning before I see a picture of Clinton or Debbie W, Schultz.

How can anyone support His Hopeful Changeness with this information available? Rhetorical question, but sheesh. The embassy staff had requested increased security, the situation clearly demanded it — and the State Department and Obama were asleep at the switch.
If President Bush was personally responsible for the death of Cindy Sheehan’s son, and Gov Romney for the death of a woman six years after he left Bain, how much more so is Obama?

According to Juan Williams the ambassador had the wrong telephone number. So no problem.

That does sound like something Juan or Alan Colmes would use to defend the current administration.
