Poll: 68% Disapprove of Obama’s Efforts on Gas Prices

Amazingly, there’s 24% of the public out there who actually approve of this abominable failure.

Seriously, gas prices are more than double than when he took office and there are people happy with that?

Despite efforts to tout his administration’s energy policies, a new poll finds voters still overwhelmingly disapprove of President Obama’s handling of high gas prices.

Sixty-eight percent of those surveyed in a new Reuters/Ipsos poll released Tuesday disapproved of Obama’s efforts on high prices at the pump. Twenty-four percent approved of how the administration is handling the price spikes.

On a worrying note for the president, the disapproval registers across party lines, with 89 percent of Republicans, 52 percent of Democrats and 73 percent of independents giving him negative marks on gas prices.

They add the caveat that the dreaded Big Oil is partly to blame and treat Obama like the idiot child who cannot be held accountable.

“Obama is getting heat for it but people aren’t necessarily blaming him for it,” said Ipsos research director Chris Jackson, in a Reuters report.

I am outraged that people are daring criticize the dear leader. After all, did he or did he not wage a moratorium on gulf drilling, ignoring court orders in the process? And did he not appoint a Nobel prize winner that advocated jacking up gas prices to match Europe? And , in a piss d’ reisistence, did he not deny, deny denying and then balame others for the Keystone pipeline!?! And then did he not graciously bestow His Blessing upon the part of Keystone that had nothing to do with him?

What more do you ingrates want? An electric car that won’t catch fire? And a cord that won’t melt? And power plants from which to charge the aforementioned no-burny electric cars?

I keep seeing items about how Obama can’t be held responsible for this or that, because the situation was worse than he thought, or it’s just something the president has no control over, or because of obstruction from other parties – any excuse will do.

If this is the case, then what reason is there to re-elect him?

“Re-elect Obama – at least we know how incompetent he is!” is hardly an inspiring campaign slogan.

The 24% who approve must be like our wonderful Energy Sec’y , Stephen Chu – they don’t own a car.

And read today’s news. Obama is now complaining that oil companies are making “record profits” and wants to end “federal tax subsidies” – meaning oil depletion allowance, which is like depreciation.

Uh, Mr. President…I hate to bring this up, but what do your energy experts think is the likely result of ending these “federal giveaways”? Isn’t it even remotely possible that these higher costs might possibly be passed on to consumers at the pump? Isn’t that, uh, counter-productive, uh, during your, uh, recession?

My God, this man is stupid.

Remember back in the summer of 2008 how those high gas prices were all the fault of George W. Bush? Could someone please explain why (other than party) why Obama shouldn’t bear the same blame?

I guess the media really does think we are all myopic sheep who blindly follow their lead. Do think think I can’t remember life before the great Obama as all else pales in his shadow? BS, I say.

I also remember that the hated George W. Bush NEVER blamed Clinton for any of his problems, he just stood up like a man and accepted responsibility, even when he didn’t have to. The current joke in the White House….not so much.
