Of Course: Obama Does Debate Prep at Luxury Vegas Golf Course

Um, maybe a dumb question, but why can’t this tool do his debate prep at the White House? You know, after work hours.

Oh, silly me, he doesn’t work, so why not hit the links instead!

President Barack Obama arrived in Nevada last night to begin three days of debate preparation at the Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort, a luxurious golf community just a few miles from the Las Vegas strip.

According to the White House pool report, the “resort is a strange mix of desert sand pits, green lawns, palm trees and new homes. We passed a replica of the Ponte Vecchio and some luxurious lakeside estates, also unfinished lots and a browning golf course. The president’s hotel has a Middle Eastern theme and a view of the lake from the lobby.”

He used to warn people about going to Vegas until he basically made it his second home. Meanwhile, at a high school rally today his people touted the wonderful job he’s done for Nevada.

Obama campaign officials touted the fact that 19,800 jobs have been created in Nevada in the past 30 months and the unemployment rate has dropped 1.7 percentage points. But the state’s unemployment rate remains the worst in the country, at 12.1% – four points above the national average.

I’m as glad to bash His Hopeful Changeness as anyone. As long as the campaign is paying for most of the costs, though, this is a silly thing to carp about. Some relaxation is important when preparing for a major event like this. I’m sure Gov Romney is also comfortably settled somewhere and I hope he’s getting exercise as well. I know that when I’m working harder, exercise is more important, not less.
    Now, the hypocrisy point works.

If Clark County actually chooses Barry over Mitt, given the last four devastating years for the local economy, which is completely dependent on national economic growth for its vital tourism, then it deserves to go down the tubes.

    Howdy Chiperoo
I’d be okay if the people voting for Obama went down the tubes. But I am annoyed that I will go with them…

He made an issue of how people make and spend money. He made an issue of spending money in and or near las Vegas. He, yet again, has no intention of living as he demands others live. It’s an act. He’s being called on it. Good.
