Maybe he can take a couple of steps back and fall off it. OK, just kidding. He’ll talk about it, which he should since he’s almost primarily responsible for us being at the edge of the cliff. But he’ll just blame anyone and everyone except himself, won’t offer any solutions and won’t offer a plan. So really, why bother even talking if you’re just going to pass the buck?
Fresh off his reelection win, President Obama will address the economy on Friday and the action Congress can take to reduce the deficit.
Delivering a statement in the East Room of the White House, Obama is expected to discuss the tax increases and spending cuts that are set to take effect in January, and will likely urge Congress to take action on both. He is not likely to put forward a new plan.
A new plan? Where’s the old plan? Dirty little secret the media should be let in on: The guy has no plans except to ruin the economy, and he’s succeeding.
Meanwhile, the Dow Jones is expected to continue the post-election death slide. Great thing we re-elected and goddamn incompetent, isn’t it?
