Obama Suddenly Decides It’s Time to Get Together: “We are Americans first”

Excuse me, but I find this incredibly disingenuous. After nearly four years of demonizing people, now we’re supposed to all come together in Obama’s moment of need? After a relentless, vicious campaign against Mitt Romney, it’s time to work together? Really?

“America will be there to help folks recover no matter what this storm brings. Because when disaster strikes, we’re not Democrats or Republicans first, we are Americans first. We’re one family. We help our neighbors in need.” – President Barack Obama, on the response to Hurricane Isaac.

Oh, OK. So where have you been while Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal has been pleading for assistance? And where was Obama and the Democrats in 2005? Why, blaming Bush, of course, after Louisiana’s incompetent Governor Blanco and the idiot Ray Nagin were derelict in their duty?

Obama has decided it’s urgent to now come together. As an example of his leadership he’s out on the campaign and fundraising trail today.

It’s kinda funny that JEF tries this line the day we find that consumer confidence takes yet another hit. It’s as if people aren’t buying his bullshit anymore.
