Obama Leads By 4 Points in Quinnipiac Poll With 24% GOP Sample

Activists on the beach in Cancun.

The media is gushing this morning over the latest Quinnipiac poll that allegedly  shows the failed president with an 18-point lead among women.

Women voters give President Obama a four-point lead over Mitt Romney in a new poll from Quinnipiac University.

Obama leads Republican challenger Mitt Romney by 49% to 45% among likely voters, thanks largely to a 56%-38% lead among women.

Voters also believe — overwhelmingly — that Obama will win the upcoming set of three debates, Quinnipiac reports, by a margin of 54%-28%.

Obama and Romney have their first face-to-face meeting tomorrow night in Denver.

Some good news for Romney in the Quinnipiac survey: He has a slight lead among independent voters, 47%-45%.

But this sample, which was only found in a Word file (thanks to Hale Razor, scroll to the bottom here) has an absurd sample of  only 24% Republicans, with 30% Democrat and 38% independents. Does anyone really believe that is the breakdown of who’ll be voting November 6? It’s ridiculous. How is this even credible? Yet the media ignore the sample entirely and tout what they want to highlight in yet another effort at depressing the GOP vote. But folks are catching on to these shenanigans.

Meanwhile, today’s Rasmussen daily tacker has it 48-47 for Obama.

Obama won in 2008 with a commanding lead in independants. Now we’re supposed to believe that he’s gonna win without them, and that the electorate will be only 24% rethuglickan? It’s hard to determine which is more of a con job with numbers; this or strongarming Lockheed into violating the law about layoff notifications.

Pollsters polling – not simply the election – but the debates.

These guys got too much time on their hands.

The only poll that counts is the one on election day.

    Get out and VOTE!

that 49 – 45 % results is mathematically impossible if the independent %’s are correct …

and how can there be 8% of people that are not classified D/I/R … what are they, Other ?

and Romney leads Independents 47-45 ???? yeah, I suspect there are alot of “independents” in this poll who have donated to Obama this cycle …

I actually think these polls are good news for Romney … if the Dems manage a D+2 turnout on election day, Romney wins big …

These are the lazy amoral cynical jerks I met in college 25 years ago who made me deep six any idea of working in the media. Disgusting liars who deserve to be collecting trash in prison.

    Take heart.

The historical record indicates that there is NO BANDWAGONING EFFECT whatsoever from these fake polls. None.

    Think about it.

Democrat Voters – if anything this will lull them into a false sense of confidence.

Republican Voters – this stuff pisses us off and makes us more likely to vote.

Independent Voters – there are “independent” and will be damned if they are going to be manipulated by the media.

In other words, a net gain for Republicans. NYTimes did this is 1980 with Carter Reagan and Carter got crushed.

Simple rule: whoever is leading independents is winning the election.

Both Team Romney and Team Obama understand this. Right now, Romney is narrowly winning, and everyone in both campaigns knows it.

I’m a woman and I do believe that some women should NOT be allowed to vote. Welfare mamas and the “highly educated” types should just do us all a big favor and stay home. I have many women friends, all post graduate study types who are Obamanuts. I can not for the life of me figure out why!!!

I am also a woman, and I have thought for years that some women simply should not be allowed to vote. Far too many are never taught to think critically. They go with their “feelings”. Unfortunately, some men should be included in this category, ever since “trusting your heart” became fashionable.

I truly think there should be some kind of civics test before a human being is allowed in the voting booth.

The first sentence of your post is incorrect: the use of “allegedly” is wrong here. The poll does indeed show an 18-point lead. The poll may be wrong (pick your reasons) , bit it explicitly states that there is an 18-point lead among women.

True that, true that. What ya should done is refer to this turgid piece of shit as an “alleged poll”. We owe you a debt we can never repay.
