What, you think this pussy is going to man up and take responsibility for the Benghazi mess? Why would he do that when he can hide behind Hillary Clinton’s pantsuit? It’s quite obvious the buck doesn’t stop with him. Heck, it never even got to him.
Hillary Clinton stepped forward last night to take responsibility for the lack of security at the Benghazi embassy but remember when “the buck stopped” with President Obama?
“Ultimately the buck stops with me. As President, I have a solemn responsibility to protect our nation and our people, and when the system fails, it is my responsibility,” President Obama explained in a televised statement from the White House in 2010.
Raise your hands all of you who’ve seen him take responsibility. Anyone? Bueller?
At the time, Obama was discussing an investigation of intelligence failures after the failed “underwear bomber” attack on Christmas day.
“I have repeatedly made it clear in public, with the American people, and in private, with my national security team that I will hold my staff, our agencies and the people in them accountable when they fail to perform their responsibilities at the highest levels,” Obama said.
Five weeks after the terror attack and not a single person has been held accountable after weakly blaming a video. If this doesn’t come up at the debate tonight then the CNN moderator should be ashamed of herself.
Can you imagine any scenario where a Republican incumbent would be getting a free pass from most of the media heading into an election? Neither can we. But Mitt Romney needs to make it an issue, that’s for sure. Some GOP senators aren’t buying Obama’s cowardice.
“The security of Americans serving our nation everywhere in the world is ultimately the job of the Commander-in-Chief,” said McCain in a joint statement with Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., and Sen. Kelly Ayotte, R-N.H. “The buck stops there.”
By the way, it’s worth noting how following the underwear bomber plot Team Obama also tried to deny it was terror related. Anyone notice a pattern yet?
