Obama Camp Sources Fret: “He’s the least popular candidate going into the convention in modern times”

Indeed, with a mere 47% approval according to Gallup, Team Obama should be worried about their candidate.

Oh wait, in Team Obama’s upside-down world, they’re actually projecting onto Mitt Romney. These folks are hilarious.

Campaign aides exuded confidence at a background briefing with reporters and maintained President Obama is ahead in the race with Romney.

“He’s the least popular candidate going into the convention in modern times,” one campaign official said of Romney.

If they’re so confident in that assertion, why don’t they have the guts to put their name to it?

OK, so after The Summer of Smear, all they are is tied with the “least popular candidate” in modern times? Sure. Let’s wait until Romney can actually start spending after the convention. We’ll see  how tough they’re talking in a couple of weeks.
