Obama Ad: Romney “not one of us”

Posted by on Oct 19, 2012 at 8:59 pm

If by “us” he means a shadowy figure who most of America knows very little about, I guess Obama has a point. But just the ominously intoned “not one of us” conjures up just what would happen if Romney played that card.

Today, President Above The Fray runs ads on Big Bird and binders and openly describes his opponent as not “one of us.” Had Romney pulled this on him, we’d need a special two-hour episode of “Hardball” to deal with the dog-whistle implications; as it is, Team Obama will skate on this even though Romney also famously belongs to a group that’s fairly high up on the list of “others” for whom some people simply won’t vote.

Naturally the ad plays fast with the facts, but when you’re staring into the abyss with 18 days left, you’ll do desperate things; especially on the days when this bombshell dropped.

We’re not usually fond of running Obama ads, but it may well be the last one you’ll ever see from him, unless he manages to sink even lower. Fare the well, SCOAMF, you won’t be missed.

Oh, and a nice retort via Twitter.

So my retirement investment was taken from me and given to those in Ohio. Do they know this or am I to presume that they agree that my investmentc in their jobs was my mistake?

the dear leader is right. Not all of us can borrow $15M from BoA while sitting in a position of authority over BoA.
