Sandy left New Jersey on the ropes and now Mother Nature is getting ready to throw another punch. Meteorologists are predicting a nor’easter to hit the state in roughly the same are as Hurricane Sandy.
The storm is expected to hit late Wednesday and continue through Thursday.
That means more strong winds, more downed trees, more flooding and more misery.
“The area that will be most affected, unfortunately is the area hit hardest by the previous storm,” said Patrick O’Hara, meteorologist with the National Weather Service.
Buildings compromised by Sandy could be further damaged or destroyed by additional coastal flooding, particularly since many protective dunes have been washed away or significantly eroded.
