Geez, woman, move on already. You left Princeton 27 years ago and you’re still resentful. Most people would be thankful they got an Ivy League education and paying off loans came as part of it. It almost seems as if she’d like a rebate or something.
“When it comes to giving our kids the education they deserve, Barack knows that like me and like so many of you, he never — never — could have attended college without financial aid. Without financial aid, we wouldn’t be here,” she said. “In fact, when we were first married — I mentioned this — our combined monthly student loan bills were actually higher than our mortgage.”
“Thank you, Princeton,” she said before adding, “Just kidding.”
In reality we know zero about how her husband paid for college, or better yet, who paid for it. How many loans did he take out? How much did he owe? Who else helped pay for his education? You’d think by now we’d have answers to these basic questions. What are they hiding?
