Most Transparent Convention Ever! DNC Funding Still a Mystery, Except for Bank of America and Wells Fargo

I guess we shouldn’t sit around waiting for MSLSD to report on this, since they’re too busy publicly fellating Obama.

But why can’t the folks staging the “most transparent” convention tell us who’s bankrolling this sham?

With the Democratic National Convention entering its second day, the city’s host committee refused again Tuesday to say how much money it has raised to pay for the actual convention.

“We raised what we needed to have to host a great convention,” host committee spokeswoman Suzi Emmerling said. Details won’t be publicly released, she added, until reports are filed with the Federal Election Commission sometime in October.

So when we get to a week or so before the election they’ll drop the news around 11:30 on a Friday night. Thanks for such openness.
In an ironic twist, the most evil of all corporations–banks–apparently have ponied up.  Extortion, anyone?

For months, news outlets citing anonymous sources have claimed that the host committee was struggling to reach its goal – mostly because of President Barack Obama’s instructions not to accept corporate cash, PAC money or individual contributions of more than $100,000.

Corporations have bankrolled most past conventions of both parties.

On Tuesday, Emmerling denied a report by Bloomberg News that said that companies – including Bank of America and Wells Fargo – have contributed $20 million toward the cost of the Democratic National Convention itself. Bloomberg also reported that, according to sources, convention organizers turned to corporations as it struggled to reach the $36.6 million.

Emmerling said the host committee has “not violated those rules” against taking corporate cash.

Such blatant lies. And why on earth is BOfA giving them money when these turds won’t even mention Bank of America Stadium by name?

    She’s probably right; it’s not corporate cash – it’s most likely taxpaxer money that was funneled through the banks…

    Because King Barry has the dirt on them. Or has promised to bail them out. Or both.
