This should solidify his credentials among Massachusetts Democrats, although he’s got a way to go before reaching iconic status by leaving a woman to drown. At least this woman has lived to see another day.
So, about that War on Women…
A Dorchester state representative was arrested this morning on domestic assault charges after an altercation with a woman inside his vehicle in the South End, police said.
Representative Carlos Henriquez was arrested at about 4:30 a.m. on charges including domestic assault and battery and domestic kidnapping after the incident in the area of 21 Forsyth St., said Boston police Officer James Kenneally, a department spokesman.
He said the police report indicates that a verbal dispute between Henriquez and the woman escalated into a physical altercation inside the vehicle, and that the woman later exited the car and alerted a Northeastern University police officer.
The woman was treated at the scene but was not taken to a hospital, Kenneally said. The relationship between Henriquez, a Democrat who represents the Fifth Suffolk District, and the woman was not immediately clear, but authorities believe she may be his girlfriend.
He’ll probably claim she accidentally got in the way of his fists.
Ironically just yesterday Henriquez was tweeting about peace.
I stopped by #ProjectV to support my friends and community. It is a peaceful loving event. Thanks for the love.

Just recently he has these words of wisdom on Twitter:
used to dislike who I was. Now I like who I am & I love who I’m becoming. I can’t see the finish line but I’m a keep running ! #dreamchaser
