Poor, poor Hugo. Venezuela has some elections coming up soon and just like in years past, Hugo has a challenger. You’ve got to respect the guy because running a campaign against Hugo while having to stay out of the reach of his henchman is akin campaigning while a member of the witness protection program.
Chavez is a hero to the liberals in this country like Spicoli, but he sure doesn’t seem to embrace their love of minorities. In fact, he uses it in an attempt to smear his opponent.
Allies of President Hugo Chavez are bombarding Venezuela’s newly anointed opposition leader Henrique Capriles with attacks, questioning his sexuality, disparaging his Jewish roots and casting doubt on the legitimacy of the primary vote.
For added chuckles he refers to his opponent as “bourgeois” and “fascist” at the same time. You know what this means, don’t you? Pretty soon this man will make that ag school graduate’s “Worst Person in the World” list.
No, not Chavez, you idiot, Henrique Capriles, the guy who would replace Hugo.
Capriles — the grandson of Jews who survived the World War Two Holocaust in Poland — defines himself as a center-left “progressive” who admires Brazil’s “modern left” model of free-market economics with a strong social conscience.
