Just Another Saturday Night in Chicago: 12-Year-Old Girl Among 10 Shooting Victims

Perhaps the Obama re-election campaign should begin depicting the lives of 10-year-olds living in Chicago rather than that absurd Life of Julia nonsense. They could show a 12-year-old girl tending to her community garden while dodging a hail of gunfire.

Ten people were shot between Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning on the city’s South and West Sides, including a man who died this morning after being shot on the Lower West Side and a 12-year-old girl who survived a gunshot wound on the West Side Saturday night.

The girl was standing on a sidewalk in the 500 block of North Springfield Avenue in East Garfield Park about 10:30 p.m. Saturday when she was shot in the left foot, police said. It’s not clear exactly what the circumstances were that led up to the shooting, police said. She’s in good condition at Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.

The girl’s family didn’t cooperate with the investigation, according to police.

Well, that sounds reasonable. Your 12-year-old is shot and you don’t cooperate with the police. Gee, it’s almost like they have something to hide.

Read the rest of the story. It appears Chicago is a lot less safe than pretty much any city on the planet. Yet, oddly, I don’t see any protest marches scheduled since most of these incidents likely were black-on-black crimes.

The good news is, ….nevermind; there is none. Dems control the entire political process there, and this is their version of normal.
