It’s Come to This: “MLK, Trayvon and Jesus”

Frankly, I’m surprised Jesus made the cut here.

April 4 is the 44th anniversary of the martyrdom of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This week is Holy Week. So what do Trayvon Martin, Dr. King and Jesus have in common? No, this question isn’t the beginning of a bad joke — the answer is hopefully apparent. They were all killed in the midst of a political climate that justified fear and legalized hate.

Oddly, she fails to mention the Republican King was killed while a Democrat was in the White House, and so was Trayvon Martin.  Indeed, haven’t we all had enough of this Democrat political climate of legalized hate?

This is a better question: What are we with the majority hue (though, as a reminder, we white folks will be a minority in just a few decades!) going to do about it?

On the other hand, thanks to the newly classified category of  “white Hispanic,”  whites will apparently remain the majority, much to the dismay of this dingbat.

Sooo. How would Dr MLK feel about the gag term ‘white-hispanic’? That discussion would be interesting.
