It hasn’t gone unnoticed over the years that the left hates conservatives more than they do our foreign enemies. We are the enemy to them. That’s why this bit of projection from the unhinged Chris Matthews is so amusing. He fails to realize most on the right simply do not like Obama or the Democrats because we feel their policies are bad for the country, especially our $16 trillion debt. Sure, some may have racial animus for the guy, but that’s a distinct minority. But let’s not let any of that get in the way when you realize your man is losing; the guy who gave you a tingle up your leg is failing and you know it.
I think they’re more political than either you or I – I think they hate Obama. They want him out of the White House more than they want to destroy al Qaeda. Their number one enemy in the world right now, on the right, is their hatred – hatred for Obama. We can go into that about the white working class in the south and looking at these numbers we’re getting about racial hatred in many cases. This isn’t about being a better president. They want to get rid of this president. That’s their number one goal and they’re willing to let Romney go to the hard center, even if it’s to the left on issues, as long as they get rid of this guy. Romney went in there tonight with sixteen ounce gloves. He didn’t want to look too ferocious he just wanted to win and the way he wanted to win was not make himself into the right-winger that the right wing that’s supporting him really are.
This wasn’t the only unhinged moment from Matthews Monday night. Prior to the debate he insisted Benghazi was all about the YouTube video. Yes, really. Can you be any more clueless?
“What was the scandal? Get to it, nail it, what was the scandal?!” Matthews rudely barked at the Romney backer. Upon the young Romney supporter answering that he was referring to Benghazi and the administration’s early dogged insistence that the fiasco was the result of a spontaneous demonstration over a YouTube video, Matthews barked back (emphasis mine), “Yeah, it was about the video. Read the newspaper. Thank you. Everybody knows it’s about the video. It’s all about the video.“
