It seems if you’re going to pretend you’ll be judging a racially-charged case objectively then the last place you’d be announcing that is in front of a group of racists.
Attorney General Eric Holder said Wednesday that the “facts and the law” will guide the Justice Department’s investigation into Trayvon Martin’s death.
Addressing Rev. Al Sharpton’s National Action Network Convention, Holder said the Justice Department’s probe into the Feb. 26 shooting remains open and that the FBI continues to assist local law enforcement in its investigation.
“If we find evidence of a potential federal criminal civil rights crime, we will take appropriate action,” Holder said.
The Justice Department announced last month it was launching an independent investigation into Martin’s shooting amid nationwide protests by civil rights activists, who claim race has been a factor in the lack of arrest in the case.
Yes, that’s the same hate group that featured New Black Panther leader Malik Zulu Shabazz as a guest speaker at a Washington event.
This is who the Attorney General “honors” with his presence. It also appears to be a regular who’s who of Obama cabinet members appearing at this conference.
