Hank Johnson (D-umbass): We Need a Constitutional Amendment to Control ‘So-Called’ Free Speech

Democrats Call For Passage Of Fair Employment Opportunity Act

Actually, we need a constitutional amendment requiring an IQ of at least 70 to run for office. Remember, this is the same schmuck who thought Guam could tip over.

Now he wants to rid of of pesky “so-called” free speech.

A Democratic representative is calling for an amendment to the United States Constitution that would allow for some legislative restriction of freedom of speech.

“We need a constitutional amendment that would allow the legislature to control the so-called free speech rights of corporations,” Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA) was quoted as saying by CNS News.

He reportedly made these comments while speaking at the Annesbrooks HOA candidate Forum held last month.

In a video obtained by the website, Johnson asserts that “corporations control … patterns of thinking.”

“They control the media. They control the messages that you get,” he added. “And these folks … are setting up a scenario where they’re privatizing every aspect of our lives as we know it. So, wake up! Wake up! Let’s look at what’s happening.”

He’s so dense he doesn’t even realize the state-run media is 99% on his side. But I guess without 100% control, the Congress must act. Funny, but for all the obsessing over Citizens United, it didn’t appear to make any difference in the elections this year.

Hank Johnson got almost 75% of the vote in 2010. That was AFTER he made a fool of himself over the Guam thing.

Stupid politicians will always be around. What’s changed in the last couple of generations is that stupid used to be recognized. Even by the stupid. But now everyone is equal, and so stupid people vote for Hank Johnson because he’s like them and hell, I could be a Congressman! Why not him?

    We’re doomed.

Remember, all you political junkies, this is the same congressional district, GA-04, DeKalb County (essentially), that elected Cynthia McKinney to Congress over….and over….and over (save a brief stint when she was booted out in 2002, only to win again in 2004).

That picture is wrong. You used Dennis Rodman’s photo by mistake.

    Close match, though.
