Can’t wait for the 2012 Olympics to kick off, huh? Well, consider this: It’s an NBC production, so expect it to be all-Obama, all the time. In fact, the Obama lovefest has already kicked off.
Michelle Obama offered a pep talk on Monday to U.S. athletes who will be competing at the 2012 London Olympics while announcing a nationwide program to get more American children active.
The U.S. first lady, who will lead the U.S. delegation to the opening ceremony of the July 27-Aug. 12 London Olympics, is hoping the American athletes will inspire children to get active as part of her “Let’s Move!” initiative.
So we’ve got a two-week event of the world’s athletes and it’s already politicized. Great.
