Government Motors Sells Only 603 Piece of Junk Firetrap Volts in January

Another Obama success story!

General Motors extended-range electric Chevrolet Volt had its worst sales month since August, as negative publicity over fire risks hurt vehicles sales in January.

GM sold just 603 Volts – above its sales in January 2011, but far below GM’s best-ever sales month in December, when GM sold 1,529 Volts.

Last week, GM North America President Mark Reuss said sales of the Volt have been hurt by bad publicity.

Reuss said bad publicity from the government’s investigation into fire risks of post-crash Volts is “definitely a component” of the decline in sales.

GM sold about 7,700 in 2011, below GM’s target of 10,000. GM abandoned its sales target of 45,000 for 2012 last month, saying it would match “supply to demand.”

GM was outsold by Nissan Motor Co.’s all-electric Leaf in 2011, as the Japanese automaker sold nearly 9,700 last year. Nissan said it sold 676 Leafs in January, down from 954 in December.

I wonder if they can blame Bush for this mess?

Odd. I’m still wondering why people aren’t reporting that the majority of those ‘post crash’ fires, are the result of them having been sitting outside, uncovered, with the LiON batteries exposed to the elements.

LiON battery + water = Fire.

Only 1/5 what they projected to sell. Thank God these people won’t be running our health care or we would be in real trouble.

Well there’s one good thing about the Volt – if anyone should ever want to customize the exterior finish with flames they won’t have to be painted on.

Have you people been under a rock? GM is making billions in profits and paying back the government.

Have the banks paid back the trillion plus dollars Li’l Bush gave them in that awful TARP poker game he lost so dearly? And yes, TARP was Li’l Bush’s baby, not Obama’s (as FoxNews often tells you).

Oh Dear God. Someone joked that someone would blame Bush and now the idiot in #7 is doing it.
1.We took a loss on the stock that “we” bought.
    2. Try reading the post you clown. We’re heavily subsidizing these pieces of crap. If Government Motors is making “billions in profits”, why is JEF doing this?
    3. This is about Volts, not the banks. Get your propaganda screeds straight.
    4. I didn’t know that the Dear Leader or Biden opposed TARP. Can you cite a source proving this? Of course you’re not stupid enough to believe that one person and one person only can conceive and implement something that big, right? Please tell us you’re not quite that stupid? Please?

“Have you people been under a rock? GM is making billions in profits and paying back the government.”

Well Kermit – it sure as hell isn’t from the selling of the Volt. And BTW, when it comes to the Volt the government (I.E. the taxpayer) happens to be the biggest customer of GM. They’ve bought about one-fourth of the little fire traps. Nope, GM is making their profits on Trucks, SUV’s Corvettes, ets, NOT the Volt.

I mean, who in their right mind wants to buy a coal-fired car, seeing as how Odumbcluck is gonna make it illegal to burn coal, let alone mine it.
