Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade and the rest of his teammates injected themselves into the Trayvon Martin case last week by all posing in hoodies in a show of solidarity. Ironically, his nephew turns out to be one of the victims in a Chicago bloodbath Thursday night. Maybe Dwyane, Lebron and the boys can head up to Chicago and help increase the peace.
A nephew of NBA superstar Dwyane Wade was one of five people wounded in a gang-related shooting at a South Side convenience store Thursday night that also left one man dead.
The shooting happened when two men entered the Bishop Golden Store in the 1400 block of West 79th Street and opened fire at 6 p.m., police said.
Shawndell Harris, 22, of the 9100 block of South Perry, was killed. The wounded ranged in age from 16 to 25, police said. Police called the shooting gang-related.
Strangely, Al Sharpton and the rest of the racial arsonists were unavailable for comment. Too busy instigating riots down in Florida.
“Having grown up in the inner-city, I am aware of the difficult realities that exist on the streets,” he said. “One of the goals of my foundation, the Wade’s World Foundation, is to continue to spread the message that the violence needs to stop.”
Obviously his efforts have failed. There must be someone to blame for this other than the actual suspects.
