Daily Beast Twit: ‘Conservatives’ Like Geraldo are Smearing Trayvon

Here’s how you make your story completely worthless and irrelevant: Start off with four words that make no sense:

Conservatives like Geraldo Rivera are focusing on Trayvon’s tweets, appearance, school suspension over marijuana traces, and the hoodie he was wearing to blame him for his own death—and to show that his killing had nothing to do with racism.

Geraldo is a conservative? Really? You know, if you want to maintain some credibility, just mention he works for Fox and that automatically makes him the bad guy. But a conservative? Uh, no.

For some odd reason the left is not interested at all in getting to the facts here. What was a completely one-sided narrative is now having these troublesome little things known as facts added to the story. These people cannot say what happened, nor can any of the racial arsonists out there looking to cash in. Whatever happened to waiting for the facts and letting the judicial system run its course?

Instead they want silence from the right as they look to run roughshod and cast everyone on the right as racist.

They hate it when confronted by facts, so instead it’s they who resort to smears and libel. It’s all they’ve got.

I love the presumptuous way the author blames racism. Besides the shooter being a different color than the kid who got shot, what evidence is there that race was a motivating factor? F**kin punks?

She’s removed that phrase. She’s still slurring conservatives using Geraldo, but she doesn’t overtly state it any more.

As classy as she is honest.

The question that comes to mind is : Is the Beast author really that ignorant about who Geraldo is or is he/she simply counting on the ignorance of the reader? I’m leaning toward the former. It’s probably a young writer who simply noted that Geraldo is at Fox.

Looks like it’s been edited now and the link has changed: http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2012/03/26/why-conservatives-are-smearing-trayvon-martin-s-reputation.html?obref=obinsite

Michelle Goldberg was the author and she is apparently an experienced radical left/feminazi writer so I would like to revise my conclusion above. She was either counting on the ignorance of the reader or she simply has no exposure outside of her comfortable circles and was not aware Geraldo was a liberal.

It’s very telling how they just assume conservatives are wrong. Because they are conservatives. Even though it appears the side of the story where Martin was attacking has a lot of factual basis, and the ‘lynch that racist’ side has no basis, because the former is the ‘conservatives’ it’s automatically wrong. Fox is lying because they are Fox. Rush is lying because he is Rush.

    Very sad.
