Goodness, this is embarrassing.
Chicago Mayor and former White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel defended President Obama’s handling of the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya on Sunday.
Emanuel, appearing on CBS’s “Face the Nation,” said that Obama “took control and he said exactly what needs to be done” following the Sept. 11 attack, which claimed the lives of four Americans.
Um, he spent weeks blaming a freakin’ video, for crying out loud. Who is this tool kidding?
Earlier on the program, Arizona Sen. John McCain (R) McCain charged that the Obama administration’s handling of the situation amounted to either a “massive cover-up” or incompetence, but Emanuel insisted the conflicting reports following the assault were simply the result of shifting intelligence.
More like shifting excuses by the day.
JWF – you missed Rahm’s context – Obama took control of the jihadis during the attack and told our forces to stand down. This explains the comment by Eric Nordstrom that the “Taliban are on the inside of the building.”
The administration, DoD, State, OfA could not maintain these lies without the media failing to do their job, report & investigate this story and ask tough, fact-specific questions.
