Clueless Costas Wouldn’t Want to Have a Gun During a Theater Shooting

Posted by on Dec 06, 2012 at 8:14 am

His implication is responsible gun owners are too stupid to know how to use them. In all the confusion, he weakly claims, bullets would be “flying wildly all over the place,” as if they have a mind of their own.

Hey, dickhead, if a trained shooter is using a gun in self-defense or in order to prevent a homicide, the bullets likely won’t be flying wildly all over the place; they’d likely hit the target and end the carnage.

It hasn’t been a good week for Little Bobby. He really should consider shutting the fuck up before he becomes a national punchline for cluelessness.

“I don’t want a gun on me, no,” Costas said. “In that situation, in the dark, in the confusion, I think it’s highly more likely that there would be more carnage – bullets would be flying wildly all over the place.”

Costas explained that if more people in the theater owned guns, it would be “far more likely” that there would be a dispute over “somebody stepping on someone’s foot in the line for popcorn,” than someone actually stepping up to take down a shooter.

Costas continued to criticize a “gun culture” among professional athletes that needed to be addressed.

“They may feel that it’s part of a romanticized culture … influenced by some of what we see in the inner cities some of what may be glamorized gangster rap videos whatever it may be,” Costas explained. “It plays itself out in different ways, different demographics.”

I’d really like to see if he has the balls to ask gun owners who play in the NFL why they won’t disarm themselves. Is he really that stupid that he doesn’t realize why many of them are armed for self-protection. He can’t be that dumb, can he? I always considered Costas a pretty bright guy, but the more he speaks on the issue the more insipid he appears.

Think about it: Dying is preferable to self-preservation. This is how warped these lefties are .Their ideology is truly dangerous for the rest of us.

I couldn’t care less if Boob doesn’t want to defend himself. Some guys are pacifists, they just don’t have it in them. I can respect that. But I can’t respect people who project that on everyone else, and want to take away everyone else’s right to defend themselves due to their own lack of confidence/courage or whatever causes that way of thinking.

Mr. Costas may choose, for himself, to remain unarmed it’s his right to do so. However, how about his kids or mother? Would he also make them suffer the same fait if he had it within his power? I fear the answer would be yes.

Another question for Mr. Costas; What if the police arrived on scene wouldn’t they have started firing back at the gunman? And, if they didn’t start Mr. Costas, like so many of his collectivist ilk, would be screaming at the police for just allowing innocent people to die.

The idea of defending themselves is like science-fiction to liberals. They figure if they smiled at the kid who stole their lunch in school but they still stole it, it will probably work with a killer. Why not experiment with others’ lives, it’s better than letting them do what you cannot and upsetting your childish fantasies, right Bobby?

He also said on BOR that people in the theater could have had guns, since Colorado is right to carry. But, if I recall, the theater had a “no guns” policy. He was flailing on this which surprised me given BOR’s inability to conduct a coherent interview most of the time.

Some national chain sports bars need to start announcing they are turning off their TV’s during halftime when this idiot comes on. The advertisers will not be happy.

Also, start writing letters to NBC and the NFL and the advertisers telling them you are doing that at home too.

You guys are just too stupid not to have made enough money to afford private security.

Costas is displaying what psychologists call “Projection”.

He doesn’t trust himself with the responsibility of owning a firearm, so he doesn’t trust anyone else with him.

He is afraid, that if he had a firearm, he would perform all of the stupid and dangerous acts he described.

Costas is correct here. He should not be trusted with a firearm. His decision to be a disarmed victim is probably a good thing. However, we should not let such a mentally broken individual make this decision for others.

Lil’ bobby revealed the true lib mindset for all to see. You are too stupid to manage your life now let your overlords manage it for you.

What if the police arrived on scene wouldn’t they have started firing back at the gunman?

Good question. Little Bobby might think that those policemen would have bullets “flying wildly all over the place.” Because that’s what bullets do, of course.

    What a fucking nimrod.

SOOO, when are all the brave “he-men” gonna make a stand out there? Anyone care to offer up a boycott of the Nutbag Fuckup League? Come-on all you couch potato patriots….where do you stand……futball or 2A? Why so quiet out there? Where’s the all knowing maha Rushy, NFLs gameboy calling for action? BWHAHAHAHA.

The power of the zombie patriots patronizing the NFL alone would be enough to send the dweeb Costas packing if they would act as a unit and let the NFL how unhappy they are with such crap. Cancel your TeeVee subscription to the NFL for a week???, boycott a week’s worth of going to games???….GASP…the horror! The thought wouldn’t cross their minds. Throw spitballs from the sidelines, peck at keyboards, yep…that’ll show the NFL we mean business. The NFL don’t give a shit about the zombie patriots or your 2A rights if that’s all the fight you all have in you. Pussies!!!!

@Danne if the No Fun League has come out against the 2nd amendment then that is it I’m done. I watch a game on the Central Barack System because it is the local team but that can easily come to a halt. Nine dollar beers and 200$ cheap seats are out of my price range so I don’t go to any games. Overpriced low quality licensed gear I don’t do either.

There is also the implied racism of his “gun culture” reference. “NFL players influenced by the inner cities or gangsta rap videos”? Gee he isn’t refering to the black football players is he? Is he aware of the racist roots of gun control laws? Illinois’ original gun control laws specifically named “negroes” as those individuals not allowed to have guns. There reasons back then weren’t much different than the ones Costas talks about now. It wasn’t until the Supreme Court said that you can’t have a law that targets a specific race of people that forced them to generalize gun ownership restrictions to the whole populace.

I wouldn’t want Bob to have gun either!

But seriously, not being a gun owner (but fully supporting the 2nd Amendment and gun ownership) I don’t know if I would want want. I don’t know how I would react being in that position.

Plus, knowing how alot of people are I don’t know how many peopel I would want to have one either. I do know that those who are licensed and esepecially NRA members are the most responsible gun owers ever. In way, NRA members are more responsible when it comes to the 2nd Amendment than the free press when it comes to the 1st Amendment!

Yinzer: He is NOT a pacifist.

He has no problem with having the police take guns from people. If the police take guns from people, they will use the threat of deadly force to do it.

    They will not ask nicely.

Costas is not a pacifist. He is merely squeamish.

  15. onetermer on 6/06/12 at 3:57 pm

Bob, come back to me when you have experienced the helplessness of facing the barrel of a gun like I did while living in strict gun laws of California.

My dad, WWII Marine vet, always had a gun on him. And guess what, my sisters and I could go to bed at night feeling safe and protected. I am a 66 yr old female living in the country and keep a gun at hand. In fact, killed a rattlesnake in my front door this summer. We don’t have home invasions here because it is understood that everyone has a gun and willing to use it for defense of their home, property and family. We have a pretty peaceful life here in fly-over country.
