Chutzpah: After Declaring War on Catholic Church, Obama Warns Against ‘Using Religion as a Bludgeon in Politics’

Considering his War on Catholics has badly backfired judging by his plummeting approval ratings, it’s absolutely laughable that this tool will come out now and urge people not to use religion to score cheap political points.

President Obama warned against “using religion as a bludgeon in politics,” pushing back against critics who have accused him of waging a “war on religion” through recent policy decisions.

Obama said it’s a problem when religion is used “to divide, instead of bring the country together” in an interview that aired Monday on Iowa TV.

“When we start using religion as a bludgeon in politics, we start questioning other people’s faith, we start using religion to divide, instead of bring the country together, then I think we’ve got a problem,” Obama told Des Moines’s local NBC affiliate, Who TV.

In his world, it’s fine for him to do it, but don’t dare anyone else invoke religion. Can’t have that.

He’s spent three years dividing people across religious, economic and class lines and has the temerity to warn anyone else to cut it out.

Pathetic.

He’s laying cover for the MFM/Dem operatives’ (BIRM) non-stop “OMG! MORMON!!1!! SCARY!!!” starting in August.

That’s his MO. Says nice, concillatory things for the record while his minions fight dirty.

Even as he gins up fake religious protests outside the Supreme Court for the Obamacare argument.
There is no depth too low for them.

Right. And he’s not waging class warfare either. Why not? Because he says so. And he’s on record as saying it’s a bad thing. Once again, imagine if Boooooosh tried this stunt.

In my mind the major divisions Obama is promoting are race, class, and gender. That’s quite a trifecta for the man whose only strategy is divide, demonize, and demagogue.

And yet Barack Obama recently invoked the Bible to justify Obamacare, tax increases, and expanded spending programs.

    Physician, heal thyself.

There is something weirdly pathological about the way this guy disassociates himself from his own actions.

“When we start using religion as a bludgeon in politics, we start questioning other people’s faith, we start using religion to divide, instead of bring the country together, then I think we’ve got a problem,”

Never mind the fact that it was Obama who kicked this whole mess off by knowingly and purposely sticking his finger in the eye of the Catholic Church (Biden, Daley and Panetta warned him) to pursue a policy that deliberately rescinded long standing conscience recognitions in federal heath care policy.

Questioning people’s faith? Using religion to divide?

It was Obama and his minions who very boldly attempted to divide Catholics and to attack the legitimacy of the Church’s position on contraception by noting repeatedly that individual Catholics don’t follow it. It was Obama who held up as authorities on Catholic doctrine every fringe group claiming some Catholic identity no matter how attenuated.

If Obama loses in November, and he should considering the abject failure of his first three plus years, this is going to end very ugly – specially if The One loses a close election.

If Obama wins, governing unencumbered by no threat of reelection, Dims will take that as a mandate to finish what they have started at warp speed. I would give us about 24 months before complete financial collapse.

Only a sociopath would do and say the things Obama has. From promises of stopping the rise of the tide, to clearly infringing on the First Amendment this last month, Obama was and is dangerous – a malignant narcissist, bereft of conscience.

I’d get ready for a redo of the Rodney King affair across large, urban areas.
