Brutal: Romney Crushes Obama Among California Voters in Snap Polls

Posted by on Oct 04, 2012 at 10:38 am

Not that Mitt Romney will necessarily be contending in deep blue California, but don’t be surprised to see a now-desperate Obama hastily arranging some Bay Area campaign events.

Even more importantly — particularly in what is considered a ‘Blue’ state, where not surprisingly significantly more Democrats watched the debate than Republicans — it was striking that 48% thought Romney was the clear winner.

That’s according to a KPIX-TV CBS 5 poll taken right after the debate, which found only 34% of Golden State debate watchers actually believed Obama won.

Even in the San Francisco Bay Area, debate watchers saw Romney as a narrow winner, according to the poll which was conducted for CBS 5 by the firm SurveyUSA.

Narrow or otherwise, how devastating must it be to see Romney judged the winner in the most liberal region in the nation?

Not surprisingly, Obama narrowly won with one demographic group.

In fact, African Americans were the only demographic group in California to see Obama as a winner — and only narrowly, the CBS 5 poll found.

Whites, Hispanics and Asians all viewed Romney as the clear winner, according to the poll results.

Among other demographic breakdowns, men by 24 points and middle-income viewers by 27 points saw Romney as the clear winner.

Only younger Californians, those age 18 to 34, saw the debate as a draw. Viewers age 35 and over all said Romney won.

Meanwhile, Obama sycophants all over Twitter are in full-fledged meltdown. After some ribbing, this tool just blocked me. He’s stroking more than his chin today.

This has to sting. The dear leader tanking in California? That’s like your mom saying you sucked in the third grade talent show. Still, it’s interesting to see that he Left coast sees this differently than the NYT.

I guess the next nationwide polls are going to have to have a +15 D as their sample.

Obama is a much better bowler than debater or President.

Just shows you how IGNORANT are both African Americans and voters under 35. These miseducated, uneducated Obamatrons keep walking in lock-step “over the cliff”.

Shows how pitiful our education system is. Also how effective the same education system is at programming EMPTY HEADS with “pixie dust” which makes these folks young and old INCAPABLE of rational thought.

There’s a difference between believing someone carried the debate and choosing to vote for that someone. Thus Instapundit’s “Great debate kid…don’t get cocky.” Still, my own hopes would incline me to see Gov Romney as the winner. If a lot of Dems are seeing Gov Romney as the winner, his performace was all he could hope for.
The only debate judgment that counts is also the only poll that counts — the one with ballots.

Damn. How dumb does one have to be to think Obama won that debate last night? The biggest lie going is this myth the Dimocratic Party is the party of intellects.

It must be inconceivable to these libs that a troglodyte like Romney could bitch slap the smartest President evah!

Oh man… The possibility is just too far fetched to entertain seriously. Yet, If the state that twice elected Ronald Reagan as Governor (but elected Jerry Brown three times) pulled its face out of the Kool-aid long enough to go for Romney…

    Be still my heart.

    To right wing nutter.
Dont read too much into it. It says there are enough leftists, like Michael Moore and Bill Mahre, who have enough of a minimum grasp of reality to at least realize obama lost the debate. But that does not mean all of them will change their votes.
