ABC News: Hey, Sorry About That Tea Party Connection to CO Shooter

Posted by on Jul 20, 2012 at 11:21 am

Sorry, too late.

An earlier ABC News broadcast report suggested that a Jim Holmes of a Colorado Tea Party organization might be the suspect, but that report was incorrect. Several other local residents with similar names were also contacted via social media by members of the public who mistook them for the suspect.

Brian Ross must be fired by the end of the day.

If it’s discovered this maniac was an Occupy member, will they even mention that?

Maybe we can blame Hollywood.

Neighbors in a fourth-floor apartment one building away with a bird’s eye view of the suspect’s apartment said the curtains are usually closed and they never see any movement inside the apartment.

Even at night, there are no lights or anything in that apartment, said Yesenia Lujan, 24, who has lived in her apartment for seven months.

Using a camera with a zoom lens, Lujan’s roommate said he could see into the suspect’s kitchen, where a poster of Will Farrell in the movie “Anchorman” was hanging on the kitchen wall.

Stay classy, lamestream media.

Update: Brian Ross has earned the richly-deserved mockery from Iowahawk. The pathetic ABC “News” hack can be found here.

The mayor of New York did the same thing with the Times square bomber, and got away with it. Rep Giffords husband STILL claims that the tea party caused the shooting in Tucson, as does the local sheriff, whose department ignored multiple complaints regarding Lochner prior to the shooting there.

    I read a post, elsewhere:

“Occupy Black Bloc supporter James Holmes, DOB 12/13/1987”

Wonder if this is the same Janes Holmes? Wonder if the above means there is evidence linking him to the “Occupy” movement?

If so, I wonder whether we will ever hear of it from the “media?”

That CIVIL RIGHTS ORGANIZATION known as the NRA needs to get on this and research it.

A rush to judgment again, a bias that fits their narrative.

However, beyond that, it’s telling enough that after the tragedy the reporters think that it’s good journalism to look for links between violent crazies and conservatives. It’s the conclusion they automatically jump to.

    Yes, Brian Ross must go.

no doubt the media will spend weeks discussing the provenance of the gun…
they’ll leave no stone unturned in examining the motives of the purchaser and seller.

no need for a similar discussion in regards to fast and furious.
we know that the govt was the supplier and mass murdering gangs were the purchasers.

but, in political math, the dead in colorado matter more than 200 mexicans and one border agent who have met a similar fate, especially when we have a democrat president and ag.

It would be rather funny if the seller did claim executive privilege and the media just ‘walked’ away.

thanks for the daily mail link!!!

I never heard of ‘Occupy Black Bloc’, and wiki seems to not want to give it it’s own page.

    just links to anarchism.

elizabeth Warren should take a bow, as she has claimed credit for the OWS movment. It appears ‘her army’ is mobilizing.

It’s only 3 months to the election! Shouldn’t the media really be looking for a connection in the Mormon church? They’re really behind the curve here on this one.

And shouldn’t they be digging through Romney’s past speeches to see if he ever said he was “targeting” Colorado as a swing state?

Sorry, but I’m beginning to lose my charitable instincts over this kind of stuff.

Brian Ross won’t be fired, and more than likely won’t get even a slap on the wrist — he and his ilk live for this stuff and they have no intention of giving it up.

Until one of these criminally irresponsible so-called journalists winds up spitting blood in the street, before the cameras (the same treatment they wish upon those they slander so recklessly) they will continue.

Since that doesn’t seem likely, they and their handlers will continue. ABC is outlawed in my house.
