He’s on to the Republicans, who obviously breathe a different source of air from the rest of the public. Everyone else breathes the pollution, but not them. Honestly, considering this guy is 127 years old, I’m surprised he still draws air.
Liberal Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-N.J.) accused Republicans on Wednesday of acting miserly by trying to place lumps of coal in Americans’ stockings and pollution in their lungs for Christmas this year.
“Instead of gifts, the Republican scrooges want lumps of coal in the stockings and coal pollution in our lungs,” said Lautenberg, referring to a provision Republicans have included in their payroll tax cut extension bill that would delay the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) industrial boiler regulations.
“In many families, it’s a tradition to teach children to welcome Santa Claus during the holidays and this year we’re going to tell our kids to hide away from the Republican scrooges,” said Lautenberg. “We’re not going to alarm our children and tell them that things that are difficult may be even more difficult.”
They won’t alarm the children, they’ll just tell the Republicans want them to die.
Thanks for clearing that up.
Lautenberg has spent a career saddling the children with crushing debt. Maybe I’ll tell my kid that for Christmas, not that I want to alarm him or anything.
